IT Labs User-Installed Windows Software

Some software is deployed through group policy as user-installed packages. This allows students to install some software themselves on the Windows machines without sending a request to Systems Staff.

Installation Procedure

Here are the steps you need to follow to install the software:

  1. Go to Control Panel → Add or Remove Programs → Add New Programs.
  2. At this point you will see a list of software that you can install yourself.
  3. Choose the software and select “Add”.
  4. You will be prompted when the software has successfully installed.
